How many times could somebody have saved me?

Why do we only talk if it's congratulations

On a hit or a happy belated?

I just stay in while people waiting

On that new release

And police their needs with good deeds

Received as residual means

To an end

Sure

It wasn't pretend

But if the pretense

Is repentance

Then a good deed's a sentence

Occurrence recurs

For currency

And apathy starts to set in

And currently

You're hurrying

But for me

If it ain't significant

I don't give it the time

Whether this is poetry or rap

Goes by how you define

The creative I play with

I don't talk to most people

Cause they fake conversations

I'm saying to stick to the truth

I'm going see this right through

If it's the only I thing I do

I've accepted lack of acceptance

Put it all on the mic

Do it in spite of people who can't wake up

Eyes stay shut ignoring

Pay cuts and make fun

Of their own demise

They don't even realize

Experience versus knowledge

I'm talking

Hard knocks versus college

It's the difference between the wise

Questioning the whys

Fighting the lows to ride the highs

Trying the shit just to try

Before we die

Most people out here

Doing what they hate everyday

Just wasting their time

Afraid of yin or the yang
